Course overview
Level 3 Diploma in Small Business and Social Enterprise Start-up is developed to provide applied learning, integrating knowledge and understanding with the development and application of the skills needed to set up and operate a small enterprise for a set period of time. The skill development is significant as learners must apply the knowledge and understanding gained in a practical application through one substantive overarching assignment. The units in the qualification will give learners the opportunity to research, plan, run and review the operation of a small enterprise. Learners may operate the business or social enterprise as a sole trader or in a partnership with another student. Following the completion of the qualification, learners may decide to continue the enterprise independently or use the experience to help them to start their own small business at a future date.
The Level 3 Diploma in Small Business and Social Enterprise Start-up qualification is available as a 60-credit Diploma. The qualifications are graded Pass, Merit or Distinction.
