Course overview
The objective of the OTHM Level 5 Extended Diploma in Law qualification is to give learners the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of core legal principles and help build foundational professional and research skills. Learners will study Level 4 and Level 5 units, worth 120 credits per academic year, with a total credit value of 240 credits. The qualification is designed to help learners acquire a broad range of knowledge and understanding and develop a range of skills essential for a successful career in law. It also provides the underpinning knowledge of the law contributing to preparation for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.
Mandatory units
Learners complete all 12 mandatory units for a combined total of 240 credits: 120 credits at Level 4 and 120 credits at Level 5.

Entry Requirements
These qualifications are designed for learners who are typically aged 18 and above.
The entry profile for learners is likely to include at least one of the following:
• Relevant Level 3 or 4 Diploma
• GCE Advanced level in 2 subjects or equivalent qualification
• Mature learners (over 21) with relevant experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme)
• If you are not from a majority English-speaking country, you must provide evidence of English language competency. See the English Language Expectations page on the OTHM website.
Certification
The Extended Diploma is issued by OTHM Qualifications, the awarding organisation. Courses 4U Limited (Number DC2009448) is an accredited and approved delivery centre for OTHM qualifications. See a sample certificate issued by OTHM.
OTHM issues e-certificates rather than printed certificates, to protect against forgery. Once you receive your details, you can order a printed copy from the OTHM portal.
Progressions
Successful completion of the OTHM Level 5 Extended Diploma in Law provides learners the opportunity for a wide range of academic progressions including the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in International Business Law. As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), learners may be eligible to gain direct entry into Year 3 of a three-year UK Bachelor's degree programme. Assessment
All units within this qualification are assessed through assignments, marked by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. There are no examinations in this course. OTHM qualifications are graded Pass or Fail: to pass each unit, you must show that you have met all of its learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
Enrolment Process

Step 2: Course 4 U will issue a Conditional Offer Letter
The offer letter has details of the Bank payment and how to make payment online via the secure sage pay system.
Step 3: Registration with awarding organisation
As the registration process is completed, several emails to set up the course logins will be sent within the hour.
Step 4: Online Induction
