Course overview
The Level 6 qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety are developed to provide learners who have, or are looking to develop into, a senior role in an organisation for managing health and safety policy and practice. Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to understand the legal and regulatory background to occupational health and safety policy, to be able to assess policies, as well as to recommend and implement policy changes. Learners will develop knowledge and skills relevant to putting policy into practice, utilizing management systems, resources, risk and incident management, leadership, management and skills development.
Qualification structure
The Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety consists of 7 mandatory units for a combined total of 60 credits for the completed qualification

Entry Requirements
• Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF certificate or diploma or equivalent recognised qualification that covers the following basic concepts within Occupational Health & Safety:
o Science and Technology
o Legal and regulatory systems o Workplace safety and health
o Definitions of risk and risk management principles o Principles and theories of safety and health management
o Occupational health and hygiene o Occupational psychology
o Information technology, literacy and numeracy
Qualifications that fulfil this requirement include:
o British Safety Council Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health o British Safety Council International Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health
o NCFE IOSH Level 3 Certificate in Safety and Health for Business o NCRQ Level 6 Certificate in Applied Health and Safety
o NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
• Mature learners (over 21) with practical experience at least 2 years
Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course
IELTS 5.5 or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential.
Certification
The Diploma is issued by OTHM - Awarding Organisation. Courses 4 U is is an Accredited Centre for OTHM Qualification and the Centre Number is DC2009448. See a sample certificate issued by OTHM. Also, please note that OTHM does not issue printed certificates by an e-certificate to avoid piracy and forgery. As a learner you can order a print version from the OTHM portal on recieving the details.
Progressions
Successful completion of OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management provides learners the opportunity for academic progressions to a wide range of postgraduate programmes including OTHM Level 7 Diploma’s. Learners can also progress to the master’s degree with any UK University.
Assessment
• Assignment drafts must be submitted within 1 week of the completion of the unit delivery by the lecturer.
• Submission is to be emailed to learnerwork@course4u.co.uk
• All submissions are to be done in Word Format
• You should receive an automated response that the assignment has been received
• Lecturers provide feedback within 2 weeks of submission of the draft
• Please ensure that assignment declarations are submitted with the assignments.

Enrolment Process
Step 1: Complete the Online Enrolment form
Kindly upload - Proof of identity (Passport or Photo Drivers Licence), previous qualifications, CV and work experience letters if applicable for exemption or Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL).
Step 2: Course 4 U will issue a Conditional Offer Letter
The offer letter has details of the Bank payment and how to make payment online via the secure sage pay system.
Step 3: Registration with awarding organisation
As the registration process is completed, several emails to set up the course logins will be sent within the hour.
Step 4: Online Induction
Induction, course discussion and demonstration to Learner Management System (LMS)
